HAVE A GO AFTER THE SHOW!
Try your hand with juggling and other circus skills with CircusWA and Head over Heels after the performance on Friday 5th July.

B’Spoke is a celebration of the talents and experiences of five remarkable young people who live with a disability.

Through a mesmerising fusion of circus, multimedia, object theatre and videography, the performance will take audiences on an unforgettable journey into the minds of the young people we come to know as our Storytellers.

As we follow our five storytellers, their essence of play, joy and storytelling are turned into contemporary circus reflections of these young people and we evolve to leave stereotypes, preconceptions and misconceptions about who they are, behind.

Collaborating with our talented Level Up Circus Academy, our Storytellers have an opportunity to share with you their unique abilities, personalities and perspectives of the world as young creatives living with a disability.

The audience is immersed in the full spectra and spectacle of circus, allowing each personality and ability to shine.

Finishing with a flying high finale of a stunning trio trapeze, this is circus unlike you’ve seen it before, as this heartfelt and energetic story celebrates diversity and inclusion while seeking and spreading joy as only circus can.

The storyline

The story centres around Walt, a single bespoke lighthouse contrasting against the six majestic lighthouses that initially emerge from the darkness.
Unlike the other six lighthouses, Walt is clumsy, he splutters, yet he is pointedly and profoundly unique.
A clown routine of sorts ensues and we begin to discover some of Walt’s curious abilities. He holds the stories of the many unique humans we will meet in this wonderfully bespoke, circus-inspired world.
The storytellers are glimpsed in flashes, projected on a screen, as we see a foreshadowing of the magic and stories to come…
As we meet more storytellers, the audience are immersed in the full spectra and spectacle of circus, allowing each storyteller’s personality and abilities to shine – all before the flying high finale of a stunning trio trapeze.

Circus unlike you’ve seen it before, this heartfelt and energetic story celebrates diversity and inclusion all the while seeking and spreading joy.
